Nexterna Releases New Version of Clearview Real-Time Service Management System
June 3, 2003 - Nexterna, Inc., a leading provider of Real-Time Service Management solutions, announced the release of Clearview 2.0, the latest version of its Real-Time Service Management system With release 2.0, Nexterna extends Clearview's leadership position in providing seamless integration of complete service management functionality with real-time wireless connectivity and GPS-based location tracking.
Clearview release 2.0 features an enhanced mobile application, which runs on Microsoft Windows CE-based Personal Data Assistance (PDA) and enables mobile field service personnel to exchange information with the office in real-time Through its partnership with Wireless Matrix (Toronto: WRX.TO), Nexterna is able to provide ubiquitous and cost-effective wireless coverage, using both satellite and terrestrial communication networks.
Using the Clearview Mobile Application, technicians have access to all relevant customer data directly from the field, eliminating the need for frequent verbal or paper-based information exchange Such information includes customer contracts and entitlements, warranty and repair records, and equipment layout and configuration.
In addition, field personnel can use the Clearview Mobile Application to communicate to the office information such as labor hours, work order status, repair codes, part replacement, and other inventory movements Based on this information, billing for services rendered can be initiated directly from the field upon completion of service.
